You may or may not know, I’m planning some WWW (world wide wandering) from June onwards, which leaves me about four months of Melbourne time to get stuff done. Many of my tasks are huge projects that CAN NOT be finished in this time, but below is a list of tasks that I would really like to have completed before I get on that plane.

19. February 2010: buy nothing (excluding necessities) month.
21. Catalogue my books.
46. Finish Calendar Project.
53. Make 10 handmade presents for people I care about.
55. Make a postsecret postcard and mail it.
89. 53 LTLYM. Give advice to yourself in the past (list form.)
92. 45 LTLYM. Reread your favourite book from fifth grade. (The Farseekers – Isobelle Carmody)
97. Finish rainbow hexagon blanket.
12 in total, almost as many as I have completed so far, and with half the time. Eeep.
Well, I haven’t really achieved much progress since the end of November apart from re-vamping the list completely and continuing to plod along with my tasks.
NO TASKS have been completed since then (pathetic.)
Not much news on the tasks currently in progress, I’m up to 650 metres for swimming (not the 800 I anticipated by Christmas because I’ve been lazy) have FINALLY read another book on the list and made another present. When Mum’s ripple blanket (my current header image) is finished I’ll be done with that task. The trouble with that is the blanket has taken me around four months already, and looks like it will take another four at least.
I’ve been horribly busy at work and exhausted in my spare time as a consequence, so my main aim is to get the energy and excitement back as soon as I am able.
Here are the tasks I have added to the list as part of my end of year clean up. (I can’t be bothered looking up the tasks I deleted, they’re the ones with corresponding numbers on the old list if you’re interested.)

#97 Finish hexagon blanket. (currently at three ‘rows’, aiming it to be about 9 in total, depending on overall size.)

#100 Crochet wrist warmers.
Things I want to achieve before the end of Feb:
Tickets for overseas travel and trans Mongolian train booked or at least in the process of booking.
Moles checked out.
Two sections of Mum’s blanket completed.
Two more books read.
Five more albums listened to. (have two currently waiting.)
Three movies watched. (probably Pulp Fiction, Cabaret and Shawshank Redemption as I have them at home.)
Get back into swimming again, currently at 26 laps and increasing by two laps a time, either be up to 40 laps by the end of Feb or minimum 36.
Finish cataloguing books (SO easy with my amazing new software, more on that later.)
5 more crochet motifs done.
Buy nothing month completed! (this is going to be REALLY difficult as I have become a bit too free with my credit card recently.)
That’s not very ambitious I know, but I’m trying to go easy on myself in the hope that small achievements will encourage larger ones.
In the spirit of the new year just around the corner (and based mostly on my own short attention span) I have decided to do a full audit of my current 101/1001 list and remove all the redundant tasks in favour of new and more interesting things I could be doing.
Perhaps this is cheating, but I don’t care. Is it anarchy? No! Is it exciting? YES! (well it is for me anyhow.)
So, over my Christmas break I will be making the changes, the old list will remain in the Pages section (but will be renamed ‘The Old List’) and the new one will take its place as ‘The List.’
Around the same time I hope to catch up with all the posts I’m currently behind on as well.

#22 Achieve ideal weight and maintain (at last check at beginning of November had lost 13 kgs since start – 4 since last report – but feel I have put on since then.)
#23 Get a gym assessment/program. (assessment with measurements/blood pressure etc was completed at the end of Sept but no program was drawn up and have since decided not to become a member of the gym, so this has been put on hold for now.

#25 Monthly ‘me’ days (6/33) Finding it increasingly difficult to get a full day to myself, especially now that I’m back in Melton.
